We have recently been in contact with the energy centre in co. Meath and now we've decided to install solar tubes on the roof. this will give us hot water all the time, without having to light a fire.

First come, first served! We recently bought a rainwater harvester from the Donegal County Council offices in Carndonagh. Cost €40. It takes some of the water from the downpipe and redirects it into a big tank with a tap on the bottom. The rest of the rainwater goes into the drain. It hasn't really been put to the teat yet, but I'm sure there will be many opportunities over the winter months...
